U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that Washington remains open to constructive negotiations with Iran, while stressing that diplomacy can only succeed if commitments made during negotiations are fully honoured.
Speaking on the current state of U.S.-Iran relations, Rubio warned that failure to uphold agreed commitments would have consequences, describing compliance as essential to any lasting diplomatic progress.
He said this principle lies at the heart of the current situation involving Iran and reaffirmed that the United States remains willing to engage in dialogue, provided that all parties respect and implement the terms of any agreement reached.
Rubio’s remarks come as diplomatic efforts continue amid ongoing international discussions surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme and broader regional security.
